The experience behind Yeti Engines

Built by the team behind pet insurance experiences for leading publishers and brands.

Our founding team has built branded pet insurance experiences for the US market, from a reader’s first click through to quote and purchase. We understand the work behind a publisher launch: the brand, the placement, the customer journey and the commercial reporting.

There’s a business
after the article.

A reader looking for pet insurance needs somewhere to act on what they’ve learned. A comparison journey can make that next step part of your proposition.

A useful reader experience
Connect relevant editorial, pet content and buying guides to a branded comparison journey. Help readers move from researching cover to exploring their options.
A measurable commercial channel
Agree a referral or commission-share model, track the journey and understand which placements lead to qualifying business.
A product without a separate insurance build
Yeti brings the comparison journey and insurer integration work. Your team can concentrate on the audience, the brand and where the proposition belongs.

Choose how close
you want to get.

A referral link can be the starting point. A branded destination can become a lasting part of your business. We’ll scope the format around your team and audience.

Affiliate route: refer readers to Yeti Compare, the consumer proposition. Co-branding sits between referral and a fully white-label experience. Compare all five formats.

The commercial conversation

Know what earns.
Know what counts.

A good partnership starts with a commercial model both sides can explain. Rates and terms are agreed for your audience, distribution format and insurer arrangements.

The qualifying outcome

Define the event that earns commission, how a policy is validated and how cancellations or reversals affect the calculation.

Your share

Agree the publisher share, any delivery fees, payment timing and the reporting that supports reconciliation.

The performance view

Follow visitors through quote starts, completions and click-outs, then policy outcomes where insurer reporting supports them.

The useful question is how much value a relevant visitor creates over time. That’s what the launch should help us learn.

Your team has a job.
So does ours.

Define the work once, with clear owners on both sides.

You bring

  • The audience and editorial context
  • Your brand, placements and distribution plan
  • The people who approve commercial, product and legal decisions
  • A clear view of what success means for your business

We bring

  • The comparison journey and insurer integration work
  • Brand configuration and implementation planning
  • Tracking, reporting and launch coordination
  • Experience improving the journey after it goes live

Data roles, disclosures, approvals and support responsibilities are agreed for the specific partnership.

Regulatory framework

A specialist insurance partner.
Less for you to take on.

A publisher partnership can give your audience access to pet insurance comparison without your business having to build and operate its own regulated insurance service.

Yeti Engines Ltd is an Appointed Representative of Innovative Risk Labs Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 609155).

Where a publisher introduces customers to the service or distributes pet-insurance financial promotions, we expect the relationship normally to be structured as an Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) of Innovative Risk Labs Ltd, unless the publisher already holds appropriate FCA permissions or another approved structure applies. IRL carries out the required due diligence and regulatory onboarding before launch, including the applicable FCA registration.

We agree the publisher’s role, the regulated activities carried on by Yeti Engines, the required customer disclosures and the approval process for insurance-related promotional content before launch.

Discuss the right arrangement for your business

A few useful answers.

Can we use our own domain and branding?

Yes, white-label is the format to discuss for a journey using your identity and an agreed domain or subdomain. Brand presentation, disclosures and implementation are part of the launch scope.

Do we need a development team?

A referral launch requires the lightest integration. White-label and widgets need agreed placements and technical coordination. An API approach needs a team to build and maintain your interface.

Can you guarantee revenue or a launch date?

We agree a delivery plan and commercial terms after reviewing the audience, insurer availability, integration work and required approvals. We do not publish a standard revenue guarantee or assume every partnership has the same launch timeline.

Who handles the insurance purchase?

The initial proposition takes customers through details, quotes and comparison, then through to the chosen insurer. The insurer completes the purchase. Quote-and-bind may be available as a later extension, subject to the required insurer, operational and regulatory arrangements and separate approval before launch.

Can we keep our editorial independent?

Yes, for ordinary editorial that does not constitute an insurance financial promotion. Where editorial or other content promotes pet insurance or the comparison proposition and constitutes a financial promotion, it must be submitted for IRL approval before publication. We agree that process as part of the partnership.

Will we need to become FCA authorised?

Not necessarily. Most publisher partnerships are expected to operate through a limited Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) arrangement rather than the publisher becoming directly FCA authorised. Where IAR status is required, IRL carries out the necessary due diligence and regulatory onboarding before launch. If you already hold relevant FCA permissions, we agree the appropriate structure with IRL.
